Founder of the UKLSA, Fatos Selita, awarded Freedom of the City of London

We are delighted that today, on 29 April 2010, the UKLSA founder has obtained the Freedom of the City of London. The Freedom of the City is a tradition dating back to 11th century – in the past, with strong benefits; and today, a prestigious award. Several world leaders have been awarded the Freedom, including —Winston Churchill and —Queen Elizabeth II.

Fatos has dedicated hundreds of hours of pro bono work towards more equal societies (gender equality, financial equality, background equality) and towards improving access to justice, the legal profession and to career opportunities. We hope that this will provide further opportunities for impactful work.
