Thank you for your interest in joining the UKLSA International Digital Moot and Advocacy Competition – iMAC. Prior to paying the admin fee, please follow instructions below.
For practical reasons, places are capped at 128 and are given on first-come-first-served basis. Administration fee: £37.50. The UKLSA subsidises the expenses of running the moot.
Eligibility:
- Any educational institution or society may register one or more teams from any discipline. Mooting teams are usually composed of two people, but one person acting on his own is also acceptable.
- Any team of two (or one individual) who are either students or graduates of any discipline (who intend to pursue a career in law), but are not fully qualified lawyers.
Registration instructions:
Universities, Law Societies and Organisations
Step one: Email us at mooting@uklsa.co.uk with:
- Name of Institution or Society.
- Full name(s) of the people joining the competition.
- The stage of advocates’- /competitors’ legal training.
Step two: Once we have processed your request, we will email you back confirming eligibility – usually within 10 working days.
Step three: Once you have received confirmation of eligibility, please Pay the registration (£37.50)* fee by clicking here. Please note that this fee only covers basic administration costs. Judgement costs are generally covered through sponsorships.
∗ No payment confirmations are issued. You will receive a confirmation of registration once the process is complete.
Refunds incur the standard Paypal charges both ways.
Individuals
Step one: Email us at mooting@uklsa.co.uk with:
- Full name(s) of advocate(s) (those wishing to join the competition).
- The stage of advocates’- /competitors’ legal training (student, trainee, graduate in process of training).
- University (including if you are a graduate).
- A confirmation letter from your university (organisation) stating that you are a current students, and the programme of study.
- Country of permanent residence.
Step two: Once we have processed your request, we will email you back confirming eligibility – usually within 10 working days..
